小野郷名所紹介，第２回目は，大森加茂神社です。

ここは小野郷のバス停から4ｋｍほど北東方向の，大森という集落にある神社です。

 

Onogo introduction, the second time is Omorikamo shrine.

This is a shrine located in Omori village north east direction 4 km from Onogo bus stop.

大森地区のスギ林の中にひっそりとたたずむ，静かな神社です。

先ほどの通り，小野郷のバス停から4ｋｍほど清滝川沿いにさかのぼったところにありますので，公共交通機関で来るのは難しいかもしれません。

 

It is a quiet shrine standing in the Sugi forest in the Omori area.

As I mentioned above, it is difficult to come by public transport as it is located 4 km from Onogo bus stop along the Kiyotaki River.

 

かつては堕川（かつての清滝川）と西町川の合流点にあり，「堕川御上神社」という名前だったようです。

１０１８年にこの地帯一体が加茂社領となった際，現在の名前になりました。

神社の創建年代は不明ですが，平安時代前期にはすでに存在したと伝わっています。

 

昔この神社では，神官が村に断りなく内殿を開いただけで，神職を辞めさせられることがあったそうです。

現在はひっそりとしていますが，かつての信仰の厳粛さを物語るエピソードですね。

 

It seems that it was once the name of “Otikawa Mikami Shrine” located at the confluence of the river (Formerly knowu as Kiyotaki River) and Nishimachi River.

When this area became the Kamo company in 1018, it became the current name.

The shrine’s founding age is unknown, but it is said to exist already in the early Heian period (AD 800 to 1000).

 

Long ago, in this shrine, it seems that there were times when the priests were allowed to quit priesthood just by entering the main hall without refusing to the village.

It is quiet now, but it is an episode that tells the solemnity of faith.

こんもりとした杉林の中にあり，本殿を守るように大きな杉が生えています。

弥都波能賈神（みずはのめのかみ），瀬織津比咩神（せおつひめのかみ），加茂皇大神（かもすめおおかみ）の三柱を祀っています。

弥都波能賈神，瀬織津比咩神は，小野にある岩戸落葉神社でも祀られていますね。

摂社（本社に縁の深い神を祀った神社）として，貴船神社，惟喬神社も祀っています。

 

It is in the cedar forest, big cedar grows like protecting the main hall.

This shrine is enshrining the three pillars of “Mizuhanomenokami”, “Seotuhimenokami”, and “Kamosumeookami”.

“Mizuhanomenokami”, “Seotuhimenokami” are enshrined even at the Iwatootiba shrine in Ono.

As a Sessya (It is not the same god here, but a shrine that worshiped deep God. In Japan, worship various gods at one shrine.), Kisuga Shrine and Noyako Shrine are also enshrined.
