かがやき隊員の奥田です！先日の投稿（こちら）の続編です。

炭窯の煙突の設置が完了したので，次は窯の中に木を入れていきます。

中々入ることができない窯の中・・・。一同わくわくしながら作業開始です(￣ー￣)

I’m Okuda, a member of the Kagayaki team! This is a sequel to the other day’s post (here).

Now that the chimney of the charcoal kiln has been installed, it is time to put the wood

in the kiln. In a kiln that we usually can’t get a chance to enter inside …

Everyone is excited to start work(￣ー￣)

レンガ造りの立派な入口の向こうに，窯の中が見えています。

この入口付近で，中に入れる木を受け取る人，窯の中で木を渡していく人，と役割分担をしていく前に，

窯の中がどうなっているのか詳しく教えて頂きました(^^♪

Beyond the magnificent brick entrance, you can see the inside of the kiln.

Before sharing the roles with the person who receives the wood to put in and

the person who hands the wood in the kiln near this entrance,

we were told in detail what is going on inside the kiln(^^♪

窯自体は中央部分が膨らんだ楕円形をしており，その高さに合わせて木を裁断しているとのこと。

写真のように，奥には穴が空いており，これが煙突部分につながっているとのことです。

The kiln itself has an oval shape with a bulging central part, and the wood is cut

according to its height. As shown in the photo, there is a hole in the back,

which is connected to the chimney part.

煙突口の穴に手を突っ込まれて，水やほこりが溜まっていないかを確認。

ここが詰まってしまうと良い炭にならないとのこと。

Insert his hand into the hole in the chimney and check for water and dust.

He said that if this is clogged, it will not be good charcoal.

役割分担が行われ，私は入口付近の人から木を窯の中へ渡していく役目に就きました。

窯の中はうす暗いため，帽子やヘルメットで頭部を守りながら，懐中電灯やヘッドライトで周りを照らして作業。

まるで宝物を発掘しているかのような不思議な高揚感がします(*^-^)

The division of roles was carried out, and I was given the role of passing the wood

into the kiln from the person near the entrance.

Since the inside of the kiln is dim, work by illuminating the surroundings with a flashlight or headlight

while protecting the head with a hat or helmet.

I felt a mysterious uplifting feeling as if I was excavating a treasure(*^-^)

写真のように，木を立て掛けていきます。出来る限り詰めて，すき間をなくしていくとのこと。

各自，声を掛け合いながら，連携して木を窯の中へ入れていきます(^-^)/
